Official Details of Police Reports I Filed

Case Number: 25-036765

Crime: Automotive Break-In

Victim: Stephen Martinez

Date: 5/7/2025 (11 PM - 1 AM)

Address: [REDACTED]

City/State: Stone Mountain, GA

Vehicle Make/Model/Color: White 2018 Honda Accord Sport

License Plate Number: [REDACTED]

Driver’s License Number: [REDACTED]

Transactional Dispute: I was not in possession of my debit card when this transaction was made. The rear right window of my vehicle was smashed on the night of May 7th. Criminals broke into the car and stole my wallet, including all of the contents inside ($150 cash, debit card, driver’s license, insurance cards, etc.). Once I found out the next morning, I immediately deactivated the card and filed a report with the DeKalb County Police Department. I then visited CDCFCU in Northlake that day to obtain a new card. The criminal(s) involved spent $250 using my debit card (and tried to spend much more).

Details: I’ve identified multiple suspects, two of which I know are mixed/black younger males. I’ve confirmed at least one vehicle has been stolen, at least one other has been seriously damaged, many have had windows broken and property stolen from inside (including me), and even more have witnessed suspects try to break into their vehicle(s). As far as I know, this has happened in Stone Mountain, GA in DeKalb County in the Countryside East and Cedar Park Place neighborhoods. And this has taken place on a frequent basis for the last two months. I’m aware of this information because I’ve personally been a victim of these crimes and I’ve talked to multiple neighbors who have experienced similar situations. I’ve already contacted the DCPD multiple times and filed police reports. An officer/detective has yet to follow up and investigate. I was given an indefinite amount of time to receive a response/update. I’ve also tried to reach out to several major news networks.
