Strictly Business

I feel equally disgusted and disappointed that our society, particularly in the United States and in countries with similar priorities, has devolved into an amalgamation of self-preservation and personal indulgence. Rather than caring about core values like compassion and solidarity, many people express their incessant desire to accumulate wealth and status. Unfortunately our capitalistic, corporate-driven, consumer-based culture strongly encourages materialism and thereby strongly discourages altruism.

We need to do better, but I'm afraid we won't.
