Sorry, Go Ahead
For the last decade I've been accustomed to going days/weeks without saying more than a few sentences, if that, to anyone. That's why I usually have so much to say when I finally do engage in a conversation. As a result, I've developed a habit of unintentionally interrupting people during discussions. The good news is that I'm actively working to break the habit. I try to identify each time I interrupt, apologize for doing so, and remember to pause and say "go ahead" or "you first." However, the issue I encounter is simultaneously recollecting each thought I am waiting to share while listening to and carefully digesting the information presented by all parties involved in the conversation.
