Right Place, Wrong Time

Although at one time I sincerely felt my heart was in the right place, I've since accepted that I was wrong to love you the way I did while you were in a romantic and sexual relationship with another man. Therefore I want to formally apologize to you, and to God. My almighty Father, you are the light that shines in the darkness. By your unfathomable grace, you have saved us all. Dear Lord, please forgive me for my careless and shameful sins. And help us to be more like you every day and in every way. In the name of Jesus Christ, I write this prayer. Amen.
