Fright Fest

I had a dream about a trip to a Six Flags amusement park. The activity was part of a summer camp program for children. Although I'm not entirely sure of the reason for my involvement, I think I was a member of the camp's staff. My two younger brothers were enrolled in the camp too. And for some odd reason, my mother volunteered to be a chaperone for the trip. I rode one of the buses with the kids and my mother drove my brothers in her car. Along our drive to the theme park, we all stopped to eat sandwiches and snacks we packed at an industrial park. Somehow a young female camper gained access to the keys for one of the buses and rammed it into a huge tree. The girl was lucky enough to escape from the wreckage unscathed. But this incident demanded that I ride with my family for the remainder of the trip. Shortly after leaving the industrial park, we began driving down an elevated, narrow, steep, and windy road near a large body of water. Due to fairly heavy precipitation, our visibility was drastically reduced as well. As we were following the serpentine route, we started to make a sharp, right turn. Suddenly, the vehicle began to hydroplane and was quickly thrust off the edge of the cliff. Because I did not have my seatbelt fastened at the time, I crashed through the windshield. Since we were so high above the water, it felt like I spent a minute falling toward the lake. Still, all four of us ultimately landed in this unknown lake. At this point, even though it shouldn't have been, the sky was so dark. And, of course, the moderate rain had transformed into a severe thunderstorm. To make matters worse, the lake was filthy and contained dozens of voracious alligators. And just when it seemed like the circumstances couldn't become more dire, a powerful current pulled us toward a number of dangerous whirlpools. To my surprise, I managed to narrowly escape the lethal jaws of the alligators, climb out of the water, and step onto the shore. Unfortunately, the immense strength of the current precluded me from also rescuing my family. As they continually shouted in terror, I helplessly watched the current carry them away and the ferocious alligators surround them. That was the last I ever saw or heard from them again.
