Circus Act

As has been the case for the last several years, I was not invited by anyone to the vacation my immediate and extended family enjoyed this summer. Although I'm not at all surprised by this. Virtually every member of my family displays facades. And I see straight through them. They adore manifesting fake smiles, engaging in frivolous conversations, and masquerading as righteous individuals. I was initially informed the reason that the gathering was not disclosed to me was to preserve my interests. However, after further interrogation, I extracted the truth of the matter. Knowledge of the trip was withheld from me to accommodate her favorite son's preferences. The whole thing is nothing more than one massive charade.
