Preconceived Notions

I hear what you're saying, but I'm struggling to decipher the relevance of the words articulated by a third party. I'd rather know what you think. Because you're your own person. They don't decide things for you, do they? You have free will, which gives you the power to form your own opinions and to make your own choices. Thus, tell me what you think. Do you agree with their impression of me? If you don't, then I'm not concerned about their judgments. And unless you have individual reservations about me, I see no pertinent reason to mention their preconceived notions about my character.
