Low Self-Esteem

I appreciate your sense of humor, your proficiency in communication, and your childlike mannerisms. Although, I wish you were more willing to acknowledge and accept compliments. They are so flattering and meaningful if you know how to distinguish the genuine compliments from the insincere ones. Having said this, while I find the difference fairly easy to detect, I concede that this skill may be difficult for others (including you) to develop. Struggling to receive compliments is also a normal pattern of behavior for people with low self-esteem. And as someone with a history of lacking confidence, I can relate. Therefore I have a great deal of patience with regard to people like you; I would be a hypocrite if I didn't.
