Lack of Empathy

Unfortunately not everyone naturally possesses or gradually develops the ability to put themselves in the metaphorical shoes of others, also known as empathy. And while I recognize my inclination toward hindsight bias in this situation, I recall being substantially more mature, responsible, and ESPECIALLY empathetic than present-day children and young adults. I also acknowledge I was raised in a different environment and during a different time from them.

Regardless, the widespread lack of empathy among the younger generation disturbs me. Partially thanks to countless advancements in technology, nowadays greed prevails as the leading source of motivation for people in our society. Instead of considering how our actions might affect those around us, we only focus on how our actions affect ourselves.
