Futile Arguments

Complete strangers who have watched me play an online game for less than fives minutes frequently claim to know every detail about my individual mannerisms as well as my overall character. I've read disrespectful, presumptuous, stereotypical messages from these people thousands, if not tens of thousands, of times. They casually ignore fundamental context and make false assumptions based on very limited viewpoints. Therefore, I don't even bother to assert/corroborate my arguments or to oppose/debunk theirs. I've tried doing so hundreds of times in the past, and the outcome has almost always been the same. I typically just tell them they're ignorant and refrain from further escalating the disagreement. I see no valid reason to attempt to engage in a logical debate with people failing to think/behave rationally. I no longer believe it's worth the effort; it's a hopeless endeavor.
