Cognitive Compartmentalization

I am of the opinion that psychological compartmentalization is an invaluable skill worthy of continual refinement. While I recognize the development of such an ability can be harmful to oneself and others, after years of experience doing so, I've reached the conclusion that the benefits offset the costs.
