Wanderlust

Do you ever desire to just escape?

To catch a glimpse of our world’s vast landscape?

Much of our story has yet to be told.

I’d like to see how the rest will unfold,

Before I grow weary, bitter, and old. 

There’s still plenty in this life to behold. 

We’ve talked about driving far to go hike,

Compelled by plans to take a trip away. 

It’s a mutual feeling we’d both like. 

So why do we continue to delay?

I realize we compiled a bucket list. 

But what about all the places we missed?

We can travel anywhere we want on this earth;

I don’t care what the critics say.

Nearly twenty three years have passed since birth. 

Ignore tomorrow; let’s live for today!
