Gifts - More Than Meets the Eye

Many people view gifts as something nice, 

Likening them to some sort of good deed. 

For me, it’s a case where I don’t think twice. 

If feels appropriate to just proceed. 

For someone special, it’s never too hard. 

Sweet ideas come to mind with such great ease.

And there is no need to keep a score card. 

With a clear motive, who cares about fees?

Sure, at times we should squeeze our pockets tight. 

Still, that won’t stop me from writing all night. 

After all, our time on Earth is finite. 

So why hesitate for a second, right?

Yes, gifts are a kind gesture; That is true.

And they often have a cost? Yes, they do. 

But for those like me, they are much more too. 

They are an extension from me to you.
