Good Intentions

Good Intentions 

I know nothing of this world is perfect.

As humans, we are bound to disagree. 

Some events we can’t possibly predict.

And there’s no such thing as a guarantee.

Although I know this bond is not ideal,

That definitely does not make it wrong.

I’m not trying to tell you how to feel. 

My only wish is that you tag along. 

Yes, I will continue to make mistakes.

And sure, you can keep on pressing the brakes. 

I’m willing to do whatever it takes,

Regardless of whether you up the stakes.

So while you may call me into question,

And point me in any which direction,

Remember, I can handle the tension.

Because good is my only intention.
