Give Me a Chance

Above all all else, just be honest and clear.

I get confused by all the words I hear. 

The last thing I want is to live in fear. 

Can’t we both simply always be sincere?

You claim I don’t know what it is I seek. 

While that notion very well might be true,

Please, allow me a few moments to speak.

Though I’m lost, I see the goodness in you.

I know you think this is all moving fast. 

Nonetheless, if it feels right, why waste time?

Shouldn’t we enjoy sweet company at last?

I have never viewed falling as a crime.

Thus, I humbly implore you in advance:

Please, don’t abandon this to circumstance. 

I don’t care much about cheesy romance. 

All I ask is that you give me a chance.
